Advanced Estate Planning in Minnesota
Advanced estate planning was often thought of as the province of wealthy families. In fact, that is a poor mischaracterization. Advanced estate planning can be useful to a wide range of people.
Take my parents for example. My mother has a disability. Because of that, my father's estate planning is actually pretty complicated. My parents are not particularly wealthy, but because of their circumstances an advanced estate plan was well worth the cost and effort to put in place. [Note: I didn't create my parents' estate plan! They had that done some twenty years before I went to law school. I didn't want you thinking that I charged them.]
Now, it is true that wealthy individuals and families are more likely to take advantage of advanced estate planning, but advanced estate planning should not be restricted only to wealthy people.
This is why I put forth my best efforts at providing affordable estate planning to everybody regardless of wealth. Some planning will cost more because of the time and preparation required, but those types of plans contemplate contingencies that the average family will never experience.
